A WOMAN DROWNED. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. WellingOn, Nov. 2, During the- absence of her husband at the railway station, Mrs. Henry Crorrie, of Mungaroa, while endeavoring to get water out of a. barrel only partly filled, overbalanced herself and was drowned. FATALITY AT KAPONGA. A man named Smith, employed at [Mangatoki, was, says the Star, killed as the result of a motor cycle collision on Wednesday night. It appears he was riding along the Elthani road about dusk, and bending down to fix his light, ran into (another motor cycle which was standing near the side of the road, and the owner of which had stopped to fix his lights. Smith was badly injured, and died this morning. Parkes, t»» other rider, was badly hurt.
