SPAIN.

RESIGNATION OF PREMIER. Madrid, Oct. 29. A commission from Barcelona, representing the unanimous views of the military, started for Madrid bearing a peremptory message to King Alfonso, with instructions to withhold it if a decision was meanwhile reached on a policy satisfying the aspirations of the military juntas. Senor Dato, the Premier, learning of the junta's action, objected to the military seeking to address the King directly instead of conveying their wishes through the Minister for War. Senor Dato forthwith conferred with King Alfonso for two hours and finally resigned.
