ENTERTAINMENTS.
LAST NIGHT OF "THE RINK" AND "CLOVER'S REBELLION" AT THE EMPIRE. "A Social Prison" well describes the inside of modern society as it is revealed in "Cjlove**. Rleb#ion,,' the remaifkable Vitagraph drama showing for the last time at the Empire to-night. -Anita, Stewart, as the heiress, gives a moving: and wonderful interpretation of the fate ; of a girl who finds that riches and happiness do not always go hand in hand. The play is set in luxurious settings, and Anita wears some wonderful dresses. Nothing for broad comedy could be expected to'beat a skating rink and Charlie Chaplin's wibbly-wobbly feet and solemn unwinking eye, extract the last ounce of fun that it is possible to produce. TO-MORROW. One or the greatest dramatic pictures of modern time will be screened tomorrow night when the famous tragedienne. Nance O'Neil, will star on Ludermann's great stage su6cess, "The Flames of Johaunis." Owing to previous booking this great feature can only be screened in New Plymouth for one" night.
