BEWARE OF MAGNANIMITY. ALLIES MUST MARCH TO BERLIN, Cttawa, Oct. 25. Jamert Beck, formerly assistant Attorney General of the United States, in a speech, stated that unl«-. the Allies march into Berlin, Prussia will not realise she has been conquered. When the ' Allies win they must beware of magnanimity.
The Duke of Devonshire congratulated Beck on the evidence he gave as to American efforts to prepare to participate in the Allies' final success.
MEMBERS OF COALITION MINISTRY. Washington, Oct. 25. Mr. A. K. Ml<ean and Senator Robertson have been sworn in as members of the Coalition Ministry. Mr| Murray (Premier of Nova Scotia) refused to join the Ministry. FIRST LABOR MEMBER IN SENATE. Ottawa. Oct. 25. Mr. Rohertson is the first Labor representative in Canada to sit in the Senate.
