BOATING DISASTER.

SAD AFFAIR AT GISBORNE., Gisborne, Dot. -24. A party consisting of Mr. and Mrs. John Stevenson and infant, and' Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bell, were boating in the Bky this afternoon, when the craft capsized in the breakers. Ralph Morse, Harbor Board signalman, who wad on the beach, assisted Stevenson to bring his wife ashore. Mrs. Bell's body was recovered shortly afterwards, but artificial respiration and oxygen injections were kept up for four hours without ef» feet.
