Replying to Mr. NosWorthy. the Minister of Agriculture said the Board of Trade had received complaints regarding the adulteration of pollard. Samples had been obtained, and it was found that adulteration was going on. The Board of Trade intended issuing a Gazette proclamation on the subject, when the grade would be fixed. • DISEASE AMONGST SOLDIERS. The Minister of Defence made a statement, in which lie cast doubts on the accuracy of certain allegations made in an article published in a Wellington paper on the subject of venereal diseases amongst New Zealand soldiers in England. He admitted there was a certain amount of disease amongst the soldiers, but deprecated the publication of such alarmist articles without duo inquiry as to the accuracy of the statements contained therein.
