A full-day session was held, great interest being taken in the proceedings. In the morning the following subjects were reviewed: "What the Church may expect from the Bible Class Movement," by Messrs. L. A. Taylor (Hawera) and Ireland (Inglewood), and "How to Grip the Young" by Messrs Perkins (Waitara) and H. Halliwell (Ha.wera). In tlie course oi his remarks on "Spiritual Power," Mr. Parry (Hawera) based his main tlu on the Welsh Revival, going over the history in the years gone by, and showing the progress made by the Welsh people, who, next to the Scots, were the most advanced. He described the results of the revivals in 1875 and 1503 (Evan Roberts), and showed how this ■working through Wales, also permeated the whole Christian world. He assertec this was no emotional thing, but rathei a direct influence on men's reasons. Th< Rev. J. D. Madill (Stratford) followed with "How Secured." in which his remarks gave much food for thought and comfort. In the evening the attendance was again very satisfactory, and the proceedings included an able sermon, "The Appeal of Christ," by the Rev. H. B. Gray, of Hawera. Excepting senior men, all classes were well represented, and the number of men now at the war was the cause of the men's classes being Weakly represented. The hospitality of the Hawera people was much appreciated By delegates at. tending.
