EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. "INTOLERANCE" HERE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. That stupendous picture production, ''lntolerance" will be shown here for a short season commencing at Everybody's theatre next Thursday evening at eight, o'clock. Ao picture in the history of New Zealand or indeed in the world (and this latter assertion is supported the world over) has created such u universal appeal, not alone because of its theme, but for the giant spac.taeles it discloses of what might be termed Biblical history with jI modern story so cleverly interwoven that Intolerance has been aptly described as "the sun play of the ages." In parts of New Zealand-In-tolerance has been criticised by sections of the churches, but it is a remarkable fact that nine-tenths of the Press and public have approved of the picture. Intolerance will only be shown here for theie two nights with a matinee on Friday at two o'clock. The prices will be 2/0. 2/- 1/-. The box plan is open at Collier's.
A FINE PROGRAMME AT THE EMPIRE. i "THE MILLIONAIRE VAGRANT' In "The Millionaire Vagrant," the brilliant Triangle play now at Everybody's, Charles Rav is the rich young man who goes down to the Blums to find out what life is really like, and he gets through a series of thrilling adventures in those very unlikely places. The plot is a strong one, the central incident being the arrest of a pretty girl who is a fellow-boarder of the millionaire, and is threatened with a trumped up charge by the corrupt police. The story becomes' almost tragic in these scenes, and Sylvia Bremer, the voung Australian beauty who stars in the film, earns great praise for her intense emotional work. Some splendid comedy work is seen In "Her Nature Dance," two reels of Keystone fun-making, in which a number of beautifully proportioned young ladies disport themselves in terpschicorean events. To-night will be the final screening of this programme.
A UNIQUE PICTURE AT EVERYBODY'S TO-NIGHT,
"THE BUTTERFLY GIRL." 'Die butterfly Girl" starring Margarita Fischer will commence a two night season at Everybody's to-night. This picture is one of the most interesting productions of the year, every scene being laid somewhere in the grounds of the great 'Panama Exposition on San Diego, an exposition that more than rivalled that held ■at San Francisco. Scents in and around the various sideshows are so cleverly interwoven with the main story that the spectator will feel that he is actually one of the many thousands who visited this remarkable fairyland. Aside from the glamour and glitter of the amusement park scenes of dramatic force and real thrill mark the production. Margarita Fischer is pretty and winning in this novel picture and the whole subject strikes such a unique and original note that it is sure to prove popular with all classes of picture goers. As a number of patrons are anxious to see Charlie Chaplin in "Behind the Screens" again the management have arranged to include this picture in tonight's programme.
