RIFLE SHOOTING.
URENUI HOLD THE SHIELD. On Thursday laat the Urenui Rifle Shooting Club sent a team of eight men to Whangamomona in support of the club's challenge for the Taranaki .Shield, which they succeeded in winning by 13 points. The visitors, who motored through, had an enjoyable time, being entertained to lunch and dinner at Eothery's Hotel by the- Whangamomcma Club, and to afternoon tea by the ladies on the range. Whanaam'omona were a man short, through the illness of Rifleman J. Willis, so the lowest score was repeated. Detailed scores:
The New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club will have a competition match on the Rewa Rewa range to-day. for the prize donated by White and Sons.
