Discussing the war, Bishop Averillsaid the causes which led to international war wore but an exaggeration of the caMes which led to industrial iinrest, and the solution of the industrial problem would undoubtedly make a real advance in the solution of the international problem. The Church had undoubtedly failed to lend a sympathetic car to the*just claims and aspirations of the great wage-earn-ing class. The comradeship of all classes at the front would, ho hoped, breakdown the foolißh artificial distinction between man and man and develop a new sense of mutual respect when the men returned to civil life.
