FIRES.
A WHANGAMOMONA BLAZE. By Telegraph.—(Press Association. Stratford, Oct. 12. The Temperance Hotel, in the township of Whangamomona, owned by McCluggage Bros., and occupied by Mrs. Sneider, has been totally destroyed by fire, the occupants escaping in their night attire. The insurances are:—Building, '£looo in the South British Company; furniture, £4OO in the Commercial Union. The building cost £I9OO to erect. BLENHEIM HOTEL DESTROYED. ■Blenheim, Oct. 12. The Grosvenor Hotel was entirely demolished by fire this morning. Wesley Clmrcli, opposite, had a narrow escape; it was badly scorched and some windews were broken. Practically nothing >was saved from the hotel.
