A BLUE BTTtD FEATURE, "THE CLOCK," AT EVERYBODY'S TONIGHT.
! - The consistent merit and excellent photography of the Blue Bird features have made these pictures amongst the most popular screened locally, To-night the latest success from this studio, a five-reel drama entitled "The Clock," will be the chief attraction at Everybody's. The principle role is played by Franklyn Farnum. who is cast as a promising young business man, also fortunate in love, who is likely to become cursed by his unpunctual habits. Agnrs Vernon plays opposite Famuli and she portrays the- part of a youm; woman of brains and decision who finds a way to cure her lover of his failing. "The Clock" is worked into the picture very cleverly and will provide considerable food for thought amongst a big section of the public. Owing to other big attractions following, this splendid film can only be screened to-night. TO-MORROW. The popular young Mutual star, Mary Miles Minter, will be featured to-morrow and Thursday in a pleasing five-reel drama, "The Innocence of Lizetto." and on Friday and Saturday Clara Kimball Young stars in the Selznick feature, "The Price She Paid."
JjAST ' NIGHT OF "WTLD WTXjiHIP'S WIDOW" AT THE EMPIRE.
The stirring photo-drama. "Wild Winship's Widow." was greatly enjoyed by the large audiences at the Empire theatre last evening. For years his widow, Hot knowing how wild his youth had .been, mourned Webb Winship's loss and 'ignored the patient wooing of Morgan (Morley, who had loved her faithfully ever since they "were kiddies together." But the accidental discovery of a secret drawer in Webb's desk reveals his true character to his widow's surprise, and she. doffs her "weeds" for the very latest in evening dresses and bunting garb, but disgusts Morley bv a bold flirtation with a Soulful poet. How Morley loses patience and finally adopts that "touch of the caveman," which we are told still pays in these modern davs, and wins the widow as his willing bride is exceedingly \velj_ told. Miss Dorothy Dalton, as the heroine, makes the most of the many dramatic opportunities that, the ■play affords her, and ihe ea ; t is a strong one throughout. A fine sevies of views of the Grand National meeting at Christcllurcli arc included on the programme, the G.X. Steeplechase, G.N. Hurdles and Winter Cup being shown in a very fine clear picture. To-night will bo the final showing of this programme. TO-MOEROW. To-morrow and Thursday the popular Poggv Hyland will bo featured in a splendid Vitagraph Blue-ribbon feature, "The Sixteenth Wife," a clever, racy drama in which the adorable Peggy is cast in a delightful and humorous role.
