Wellinfton, Oet. ft The inspector of awards has filed an application for the interpretation by the Arbitration Court of certain- clauses o] the seamen's industrial agreement. A NELSON RESOLUTION. The following resolution was Ottrried! unanimously by the City Council-. "That in view of the inconvenience and cost this district is being put to by the steamer strike, the council urges upon the Government the' necessity linn in its resolve to compel the seamen of coastal steamers to resume work, and that this council pledges all the moral and physical support at its command to. the Government to enforco na «arly settlement of the strike."
