Smitl and Dolby H.urle (West End), Coleman and Grayling (Fit?roy)> Morris (Qafcura), .Si'mnsdn (Moa branch) Lister (Frankley road). '. Mr. Smith, who occupied the chair, gave some interesting information regarding matters in which committees are connected. The meeting between the Teachers' Institute and the executive of the.Association should prove of great benefit to teachers and committeemen in the near future and the fact that prominent teachers were to be ask;ed to deliver addresses to members of the Association on educational matters should go a. long way towards arousing interest in the parents. A suggestion that a school of horticulture should be instituted in the New Plymouth distriot met with approval and,the general opinion was expressed that the proposal would be given effect to and that support would be given hy the publie should be a foregone conclusion. Many subjects were touched upon in desultory conversation and the meeting adjourned.
