Oct. I.—Regulus, s.s. (6 p.m.), 685 tons, Wfldman, for Greymouth, THE RARAWA. The Rarawa brought 123 tons of cargo from Onehunga. She returned north last night. THE KAMONA. The Kamona Bhould get away from New Plymouth to-morrow afternoon, for Onehunga, where the balance of her cargo will be discharged. THE CORINNA. ' The Corinna l,eaves ! Nelson at 2 p.m. to-day, arriving here to-morrow morning. NOTES. Several truck-loads of » salvaged winches, derricks, engines and gear from the, wrecked steamer Opouri at Greymouth were placed on board the steamer Orepiiki and taken to Lyttelton last week. The British Admiralty has issued the following order: As from July 10, 1917, every sailing vessel which exceeds 400 tons register, or which carries cargo exceeding £4OOO in value, shall, when approaching or leaving any port of the United Kingdom, be towed within such limits as may be directed by the Admiralty to give orders to British ships, and every such vessel shall pay for such towage in accordance with the scale of fees which have been approved by the Admiralty. This resolution shall not apply to vessels not being British where noncompliance with regulation takes place on high seas outside the territorial wafers adjacent to the United Kingdom. The cost of fitting out the crew of the Port Kembla at Nelson amounted to £325. The sum of £250 was received from the Shipwrecked Sailors' Society towards the cost, and a cash donation to the members of the crew was made by the city council, but the sum of £75 is still outstanding.
