PEACE NEGOTIATIONS. HUN GOVERNMENT'S HOPE. Received Oct. 1, 10 p.m. Amsterdam, Sept. 30. 3lob<> important results are expected from the Reichstag Committee decisions. The Government' doubtless reckons to open peace negotiations at a not remote date. Socialists do not regard Dr. Michaelis' demand for a free hand in Belgium as indicating annexation. They merely consider Belgium should he regarded as a valuable <;ard tol play in the peace negotiations.
GERMAN OFFICIAL Received Oct. 1, 10 p.m. London, Oct. 1. Wireless German official: There is strong artiflerying on the coast between the Ysor and the Comines-Ypres canal. Aviators attacked docks and warehouses in London, also at Ramagate, Sheerness, and /Margate, and caused conflagrations. All the machines returned. ENCOURAGING IMMORALITY. Berne, Sept. 30. The German Government'has offered a premium of 500 marks to every poor unmarried woman bearing a child; The Government will also contribute to its support for the first fourteen years. Such children will be considered legitimate*.
