INCREASED PENSIONS AND ALLOWANCES. Cabinet finally' considered the Wat Pensions Bill on Monday afternoon 1« is understood (says the Times) .that there has been a general increase in al: lowances. The increases will ruigc from 20 to 25 per cent, on the present scale. The separation allowance for soldiers' wives will be possibly in the vicinity of 30s per week. Dependents .will receive better treatment. The increase indebtedness of the Dominion in resp?ct to ths First and Second Divisions, it is said, will be more than £1,000,000 a. yeir.
