UNMITIGATED REPROBATION.
INCURRED BY MR. ISITT.
Mr. L. M. Isitt, M.P., has not met the approbation of tho "Baptist clergy of Auckland in his attitude in connection with the finding of the Postal Commission. This is clear from a resolution passed by the Auckland Baptist Ministers at a meeting on Monday last, when the resolution following was passed:— That in view of the fact that the Bev. Howard Elliott distinctly stated in his evidence at the recent postal enquiry that the letters addressed through the Post Office, called "trap" lettere, were not fabrications, this meeting of tho Auckland Baptist ministers regards Mr. L. M. Isitt's statement in the House of 'Representatives with unmitigated reprobation; and the meeting further believes that if tho Roman Catholic Church desires to shield her« self from aspersions such as these letters are said to have contained, she should at once open her convents and church institutions to Government inspection.
