By Telegraph.—Press Association. Weatport, Yesterday. . I ■ The Supremo Court was occupied yesterday in hearing the appeal of the Westpori Stockton Coal Company v. i Watcrson. Tho respondent was a brakesman in the appellant company's ; colliery, who was injured in a tunnel ! last September., and in July last claimed £3OO damages in the Warden's Court, when the assessors awarded the full amount claimed and coals. The defendant company appealed by way of a rehearing, and a jury of four was empanelled, on the application of respondent, and returned a verdict for the full amount again. ,'By agreement of counsel certain legal points were deferred for argument before the Full Court at Wellington.
