THE MART.
KAWAROA PARK LADIES' DAY. Tiie Kawaroa Park ladies' committee had charge of the Mart on Saturday, and had a most successful day, their energetic efforts and excellent organisation resulting in the handsome um of £ll9 being realised. For some little time past these ladies had been actively engaged in making preparations, and from an early hour on Saturday morning it was evident that success wan assured. It redounded to the credit of the ladies that they were easily able to cope with the demands on their services and resources. So wejl were they patronised, the fine weather favoring brisk -business, that practically every article offered for sale was disposed of. The ladite of the committee desiro to specially thank the Mayoress (Mrs. C. 11. Burgess) for running the flower stall, which presented a very pretty and artistic appearance, and the Boy Scouts for the valuable services they so willingly rendered. The competitions resulted as follows;

Tea service.—Miss D. Clarke. Order ror photos. —Aaron Marsh. Cake weight-guessing.—Correct weight 41b 10}oz. Five competitors guessed 4%1b, and the draw resulted in favor jof W. H. Rowe.
