Morrison to provida Christmas gifts for Taranaki men at the front, 108 parcels, eacn weighing 71b, were despatched "to France and Egypt yesterday. Last year every* parcel sent away reached its destination, and the recipients wrote expressing keen appreciation of the. delicacies, especially the oakes and puddings. Yesterday's consignment included 1 some 30 of these eakca and puddings; In addition, 15,000 cif[ar« ottos and 201b of cut tobacco were sent, the parcels being made up of the following ''articles:—Condensed milk, potted meats, jam, chutney, eheeso (in smM) tins), biscuits, meat extract, block chocolate, loose chocolates, sweets, toffee, sugar, cocoa, cafe an lait, playing cards, writing blocks, pipes, tpwels, Christmas puddings, cakes, cigarettes, tobacco. The following donations are acknowledged, with thanks: Mrs. Ten-ill (Mokau), Christmas cake and 2s <>d: Miss Black (Awakinb), cake and 2s fid; Mr. Percy White, towels. Cakos and puddings were made by .Mesdanies . L. C. Sladden, ' Andrews (Smart Road), W. C, l'Mliips, Buckle, J. Duflin, and J. Mackay, Mis 3 Tnnbridge iaud Miss Wade.
