They proceeded with the work of re-forming and gravell-" ing the ■walks, but owing to the soft condition of tho ground they were- compelled to abandon it till better weather prevailed. As they were soon to lose the services of tho horse they proposed to cart all tho shingle they received up to near the fountain, so that !c"i\vould be handled more easily when the re-forming of the walks wa3 resumed. It would be a great advantage to have the shinglo carted to them during the present week to enable them to shift it up the hill before the horse was taken from them. With regard to tho Yogeltown entrance, ho. asked if the board intended to leave the large gum tree standing on the side' of tho footpath close- to the side of the proposed new gates. The donations received during the month comprised soma well-grown plants, natives of the Chatham Islands, native plant seeds from Ohakune. and packets of seeds from Ohri'rtchurch.
