A FARMER GETS ELEVEN MONTHS. (By Megi-apli.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Murdoch Alexander Hcliue, a fanner near Waipu, was sentenced to eleven months' imprisonment at the police court on a charge of issuing an anonymous circular likely to enterfcre with recruit-, ing, entitled, "A Good Soldier." The circular impressed on the reader that to he a good soldier was the lowest in human life, and held out specific warning about signing the attestation papers. The chief detective said a quantity of literature of a fiery kind, usually associated with the I.WAV., was found in his house.
