WHITELEY SPRING FLOWER SHOW.

The Whitelo.v Spring Show is now regarded as tho show of the season, for cut J.dooms, pot plants, etc. The committee in charge of the show this year are confident that the show will eclipse all that have gone before. Exhibitors of narcissi and daffodils will be present from far and near. Messrs Cooper, of Wellington, arc forwarding choice blooms for exhibition. Mr. It. Gibson, recently of Rivcrlea and now of Mauaia, will stage some of his prize exhibits, which fire regarded as top notchers. We are pfe in saying that Mr. Gibson has some of the most costly daffodils in the Dominion. He is such an enthusiast in this direction that he has given as much as £25 for a single bulb. He will certainly stage something worth seeing. His Votlier, J. Gibson, will be a large exhibitor, also J. H. Frethev, of Frankaeigh Park. Many local growers have (intimated their intention of showing. iLast yeaf' Messrs Newton King, S. W. ,Shaw, R. Coc-k, and T. French made fine •(displays, as well as the local nurserymen, and we understand their exhibits will be in evidence again this year. Arrangements have been made to entertain the public as well, and to this end a concert party will render selections each evening.
