THE BIG PUSH.
Saturday, September -2'2. is the day on which the New Plymouth IMunied Soldiers' Association is 1o hold its "Big Push" to augment its funds to carry out Its aims and objects. The Association has been formed to bridge over the interval between release from military and iv-enlrv into civil life; to smooth away tile difficulties incidental to that transition stage; to find the returned man suitable employment; to aid that '•settling down" process which must always be difficult when a man finds himself suddenly called upon to exchange the adventurous and spirited life of'a soldier for tho humdrum routine of civil duties. ; 'Pile real work of the Association will begin when the war is over, but evoip now scarcely a day pa=ses that some "case" of more or less difficulty does not present itself to be dealt with by the executive. Tho work demands a large and ever-growing organisation, and that implies a large demand for money. The Ma.vor {Sir. C. 11. Burgess) and Mr. Newton King have kindly consented to act as trustees. ! Your earnest support is asked for in our ''Big Push," and wo hope to meet jj'ou in the front ranks.
