Received Sept. 2, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 1. Since the operations last April there have been no important actions on the Palestine front. Conditions on both sides are more or less those of trench warfare, the opposing lines being close together near Gaza, but gradually grow ! further apart as they enter the barren 1 and inhospitable region further south, 1 until finally they tail off altogether in the desert, where the Anzac and Imperial mounted divisions keep watch over tha right flank.
