CARDIFF DAIRY COMPANY. ANNUAL MEETING. The Cardiff Co-operative Dairy Company held their annual meeting at tlie .school on Monday night. Mr. W. Rich■ards was in the chair. The annual report was read and adopted, and the business of the past year wa,q discussed. Notwithstanding the effects of the ■ war the output was over 347 tons of cheese, while of v.'hey butter was nJso manufactured. The payments lor butter-fat will give another 3Jd per 11>, a total of Is lOld per lb for the ■past season's butter-fat. Mr. Don Cameron, the manager, and staff were ■complimented on the successful season's work, ana for tho high grade products which they produced, and which had gained so many prizes at the shows. Tiie election of new directors in place •of Messrs Richards, Mason and Prebble, of whom Mr. Richards alone was eligible for re-election, resulted in Messrs W. ■Richards, Jones and J. T. Belcher being elected. Much discussion ensued on the grant for agricultural instruction for tho ensuing year, and the proposal for its continuance was left in the hands of the directors to decide when the terra of instruction expires. The agricultural director, Mr. Browne, was not present to discuss the matter with tho mooting. The usual patriotic grant was carried unanimously. A deputation from the A. and P. Society, consisting of Messrs J. Boon, F. Ranford, and J. Stanley, 'was received, and the -usual grant made. The election of auditor resulted in Mr. A. Coleman being re-appointed for the ensuing year,. The balance-sheet was read and adopted and favorably commented upon. LEPPERTON. The twenty-fifth annual report of the Lepperton Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Ltd., for the year ender 30th June, states:— Out of the surplus of £<>ol3 2s Id the directors have already paid 4d on butterfat—September to May inclusive—£2,7*97 Us lOd. making advances for season up to 16d per lb. They propose to pay interest 5 per cent, on share capital subscribed to June 30th, lfUfi, £74 Is Pd, to make a payment to suppliers of 2Jd ]>er lb of butter-fat for the season —£lfl22 17s 7d. Butter made amounted to % tons 8 cwt. !> qrs Clb. In accordance with a resolution passed at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders on 2nd July, 1917, tfce directors are pioceeding with the erection of n, new dual plant factory on a site adjoining the present factory, and the work is well forward. Statistics—L<b of milk received 3,644,570, lb of cream received 90,707, lb of butter-fat 184,596, lb of butter made 218,02fi, averago test, milk 4.15, average test, cream 41.2, over run 17.0. Ad-vem-e-s IO.Od, bomis 2.5 d. interest .Of)0d, < total 15,0!)9d, equal to I'B 3-sd, with a final balance to be disposed of.
