Antiaircraft guns opei ?d fire. Slight damage was done and a man was injured. ANOTHER AIR RAID. OK DOVER, MARGATE, AND ®AiM«GATE. Received Aug. '23, 10 p.m. London, Aug. 22. Official: The air raiders dropped bombs tin iUover, Margate, arid Ramsgate. Eleven were killed and thirteen injured. At Dover and Ramsgate a number of houses and a- hospital were damaged. One enemy pilot was rescued in an in(ured condition. Two fell headlong. An incessant battle in the air continued tor half an hour. In connection with the raid on the Yorkshire coast last night, searchlights lilong the ffum'ber caught a zoppelfn at ft height of two miles. Gunfire prevented tbe visitor from reaching its objective. It dropped a number of bombs before disappearing. TEN MACHINES ENGAGED. A THIRD MACHINE SHOT DOWN. Received Aug. "23, 11.45 p.m. London, Aug. 23. The Admiralty reports that naval aeroplanes attacked 10 Gothas in the vicinity of Ramsgate, at a height of 1100 feet, and shot down one in addition to the two already reported. They chased the remainder oversea. PATROL ENGAGEMENTS. Received Aug. 2i. 12.5 a.m. London, Aug. 23. The Admiralty reports that three machines frorh. Dunkirk indecisively engaged 12 Gothas 35 mile 3 northward of Aieupoit and chased them to Zeebrugge. Another patrol of 10 machines engaged -25 enemy escorting scouts awaiting tko raiders frostn England and drove down at least five completely uncontrollable. Accurate counting was impossible owing to the close fighting. All our machines returned. GIANT ANTI-AIRCRAFT GOT. Paris, Aug. 22. The Echo de Paris mentions that the new giant French gun used at Verduu throws a shell nearly six miles high.
