ANNUAL MEETING. The eighteenth annual- meeting of the Gpunako Dairy Company was hold at Opunako on Tuesday, Mr. M. Rickey, chairman of directors, presiding over a fair attendance of shareholders. REPORT AND BALANCE-SHEET . The report showed that during' the year ending June 30tli, 1017. 8,034.8381b oMiiilk were received, and from this •>»!>,2461b of commercial butter was man:ufacturedj lib of 'butter being made out of each 22Mb of milk. The average test was 3.71, and the over-run -13.78. The average payment for the season was lod, and there remained a surplus of .t5-W4 8s Gd to be dealt with . The balance-scheet showed that butter sales and butter on hand had totalled t-2S. 130 ISs od. The principal items ot expenditure were:—Wanes £992 13s 3d, export levy £B9l 6s Id, boxes £317 f's 7d, cartage £3H7 l s Id, fuel £5Ol *>s id Q tores and requisites .£4OO 3s sd. Advances to suppliers totalled £18,7 ; 43 19s 9d. The report and balance-sheet were adopted on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr. L. Luekin. It was resolved that interest at the rate ot .1 per cent, be paid on subscribed capital, absorbing £i» ]- )s , that £7i>o be nritteu ofl for depreciation, and that , e available balance, after butter in ,s disposed of, be paid to suppliers pro rata on last season's supply. ELECTION OP T>nRECTOt?S. Directors were elected as follows: -Messrs J. A. Lusk (Kina "Road creamery), J, Do Castro (Thaia Road creamery) M. Ilickey, L. Luck in. E. O. Bayhas, B. A. Hammond and W. Wan. Mr. H. ,T. Newman was re-elected auditor at the same fee. GENERAL. Tiie chairman s honorarium \vaß increased by £lO. It was resolved to vote £lO to the manager and ,Co to each member of the staff as a bonus. A otes of thanks were accorded the rctiring directors, Messrs R. ,T. Campbell (m camp), F. Carter and D. I). O.'Sulhvan. The two latter;returned thanks. Mr. R. A. Browne, director of agricultural instruction, addrufcsed the meeting, after which a resolution was passed agreeing to continue the contribution for another year. The first demonstration will be given on Mr. E. G. Bayliss' farm on Tuesday, September 4. CHAIRMAN OE TOTtECTORS. At a subsequent meeting of directors Mr. H, Hiekey was re-elected chairman.
