Mr. Massey impressed his wish thai fliev should continue their valuable work, but told them plainly that no self-respecting Government could allow an outsido body to dictate its policy. Tho position remains as it was, except that now it is for the Board to move. -They may accept tho position as Mr. Massey has defined it, or they may make absolute their conditional"resignation, or may carry out the threat to resign.
