ENTERTAINMENTS.

MALE CHOIR PATRIOTIC CONCERT. Some hundreds of intending patrons at Wednesday night's Male Choir concert being unable to obtain admission to the hall, the committee has decided to repeat the concert in the People's Picture Theatre to-night (Friday), at 8 p.m., when the proceeds will be devoted to patriotic funds. The reception given the choir's first subscription concert was decidedly flattering, and to-morrow's repetition promises to be quite as onpoyable. Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Wilson, visitors to New Plymouth, have consented to take part. Mr. Wilson is the possessor of a nice tencr voice, while Mrs. Wilson sings duets with her husband in a most acceptable manner. The lady is also an accomplished jiianist. Miss To Au will again delight her hearers, and Mr. Arnold 0. Sturrock will submit further pianoforte solos. Arrangements have also been made for Mr. Hunt to return to-day from Hawera, and patrons will have another opportunity of listening to this talented gentleman, as it is conceded that he has very few superiors in New Zealand in his particular work. The prices will be the same as previously —viz., 2/0 (reserved scats), 2/- and 1/s, and holders of tickets for Wednesday night can use them on this occasion. The box plan is now open at Hoffmann's,
