New Zealand mutton B%d, live mutton, Sid; Argentine mutton lid; New Zealand lamb lOd: Argentine lamb lid; New Zealand couv-bcef in smalt supply, second-class quality fores Sd, binds 10?: Areontineheef, no quotations owing to short supply. Butter and Cheese.—Butter is following the maximum prices fixed for salted butter during the. next two weeks : New Zealand 20Ss. Irish creamery, Canadian, Australian, American, and Argentine all 2)iis; unsaltcd butter 3s more in each case. For cheese no maximum prices have been fixed with the exception of English Cheddar, 1.325.

Butter.—Strong market and good demand for all descriptions at maximum price- 5 Danish butter, no supplies available, no quotations. Hemp.—Manila market continues firm; receipts from July 15 to 31. .iIi.CWO hales: New Zealand hemp, good prices arc being paid for spot; quotations are irregular, and small sales have taken place; New Zealand high point fair £9O. high point fair duly to December shipment £9O, Now Zealand fair spot £9O, August to October shipment .CS9.
