NORMAL EY.

The annual report of the Nornianby Dairy Company shows the company had a most successful year. The season's output had been purchased by the Imperial Government at 9Jd. Two thousand five hundred and ten crates of cheese had previously been supplied on open consignment to Messrs Lovoll and Christmas. Negotiations were proceeding as to the price to be paid for this cheese. The sum of £33,IGS 13s 7d was paid for milk received, whilst bo.ve3 and crates absorbed £797,9a 8d and wages ran into £1441 ss. Veils coct £SB 18s 9d, and the'butter-fat tax lifted £l-290 I.Bs lOd, the balance left to appropriation account bein» £10,400 fls Sd.

MELROSE FACTORY.

The fifth year of this company was a most successful one. the pay-out working out at Is o%d. The, Government purchased the season's output at OJd, but prior to this 407 crates had been made and these were commandeered in London. This had also been valued at OJd per lb, find on this basis the payment on lmtter-tat. for the season will work out «t__ls 7 J /,d.
