The Unions' Defence Committee has declared that all coal for the railway or tram services i 3 "black." Posaibly this will cause a complete stoppnge. The locomotive drivers, firemen, end cleaners decided in favor of a strike. Other organisations aro heatacfly debating the situation. The stoppage of the drains is affecting. outside industries. Several south coast mines aro idle, and many men "stood oS" at the Walsh Island dockyards. 'No trains were running this morning, and a very limite4 service tojj a few holies in the afternoon.
