MUSICAL COMPETITIONS. ' The initial stage of the Fitzroy School musical and- elocutionary competitions eventuated yesterday in the Central school, when numerous competitors, some from as far soi'th as Hawera, faced the judge. Mr. F. W. G. McLeod. The following wqjg selected for recall at the concerts to-night and to-morrow night: FOR TO-NIGHT. Vocal duet:—Florence Arden and Beatrice Kerr. Recitation.—Class A, Frank Clehmd and K. Symons. Class B-. Fred Goldsworthv arid Archie Huggard. Humorous (Class B): Belle Mackie and George Grover. Reading—Class A: J. Tolme and J. Olson. Class B: Ivan .Pepperill and Apua Skipper. Class C: Evelyn White and Edna Wadman. FOR TO-MORROW NIGHT. Vocal solos (seniors).—Mona Dank, Dorot-Uv Abbott, and Sylvan Leiiland. Recitation—Class C: Apua Skipper and Kvclyn White. Humorous: J. Julian, Gwen Day, May Gray and Gudvein Sorrensou.
