ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MANAWATU CASES. By Telegrapli.—Press Association. Palmerston X., July 20. A man whose name is supposed to be Joins Junes Graham, aged 35 years, committed suicide by hanging himself this morning at Tiritea. It is said that he suffered from insomnia. William Lane. 7G years of age, was found dead in a whare near the Gorge bridge. He iiad no relatives in New Zealand. A LITTLE GIRL DROWNED. Thames, Last Night. A sad drowning fatality took place last night. A little girl,'six years of age, .was (playing on a bridge at Kirikiri, near Kopn, with two small boys, one a native, when it is alleged that the latter undressed the girl and .pushed her into the. water. The alarm was at once given, and the stream was dragged all night, the body being recovered this morning. The name of the girl is Irene Quiiin, daughter of ~S,h. Quinn, J.P., whoso sou was recently decorated at the front for 'bravery. An inquest was opened this afternoon, and adjourned. Both lads are being detained by the police.
