EXTENDING LIFE OF PARLIAMENT. Received July 17, 6.5 p.m. Ottawa, July 16. In the Canadian House of Commons, Sir R. Borden (Premier) introduced a resolution asking the Imperial Parliament to extend the life of the Canadian Parliament to October, 1918. The Liberals requested a postponement to enable them to decide as to the party's attitude and Sir R. Borden consented.
