THE Sacotg'oooterexce: By. Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Kight. Tho Racing Conference resolved that the lifit of disqualifications should include the name of a horse known to be owned by a person disqualified. Tho minimum penalty for late acceptance was reduced from £lO to £5. At the request of the Stipendiary Stewards' Committee, the president moved that racecourse detectives should be appointed by the Conference. Representatives of country clubs raised the question of expense, and other objections were made, the proposal being heavily defeated. A resolution was passed taking away the power of starters.to place misbehaving horses on the outside of the field, as it was considered, that such horses should be p!?.<-ed at the rear of tihe field, or outside a hurdle. The executive Was authorised to spend up to £IOOO on the Sports Protection League. The following were appointed to the Stipendiary Stewards' Committee for the ensuing year: Sir G. Clifford, Hon. Herries, Hon. 0. Samuel, P. Miller, O. S. Watkins, and E. Campbell. /. The following dates committee was elected: E. W. Alison, W. E. Bidwill, E. Goodbehere, P. Hunter, H. Lowry, and 0. Miller. Hon. Ovmond's motion that the vicepresident be elected annually, in like manner to the president, was lost. Sir G. Clifford was re-elected president, and the Conference recorded its appreciation of his services, and expressed gratification at his again consenting to become, president.
