Washington, July 11. The W<ir Department has announced changed height requirements for recruits, making available thousands of additional drafted men. The minimum is sft. lrn. and the maximum 6ft. Gin. The slow organisation of the exemption boards is delaying drafting. SUBMARINE CHASERS. New York, July 11. The United Press correspondent at Washington states that the Navy Department has' revealed that the United States is building 300 submarine chasers each 110 feet long. The work is progressing rapidly, and some will be ready in the next few months.
