NEW PLYMOUTH v. WITIORA. A most enjoyable game 'was played between the New Plymouth and Witiora Golf Clubs at the Waiwakaiho links on Thursday, resulting in a win for Witiora by 9 games to 7, one finishing "all square." Steed beat B. Beale, 5 and 3. F. G. Newenham beat N. Perry, 4 and 3. J. Paton lost, to L. Cannell, 2 and 1. W. Douglas beat 0. Bavly, 2 and 1. R. T. McQuade beat J. S. Medley, 2 up. D. Hutchen lost to V. Elliot, 0 and 4. J. Austin lost to W. Hooker, 2 up. W. H. Hood and H. J. Smith, all square. H. R. Bloxham lost to McHardy, 2 up. G. M. Kebbell beat C. Bond, 5 and 3. E. P. Webster beat Corney, 1 up. C. Denny Brown lost to J. Johnson, 3 and 2. J. Connett lost to H. Luscombe, 5 and 4. W. Nixon lost to T. Furlong, 6 and 4.
