ISLANDS VISITATION.
EARTHQUAKE AND TIDAL WAVES. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Received July 10, 9.20 p.m. Suva, July ltf. An earthquake and tidal wave occurred in the Samoa group, being the severest on record. There were three waves, fourteen feet high. No material damage v/as done. Keppel Island fared the worst, many of the native houses_ being destroyed, and a concrete wh'arf carried away. There were no fatalities. The shock was not felt at Niuafoo.
