liAIST NIGHT CXP CLAKA KMBALL YOUNG IN "THE DARK SILENCE." When any director Tindertakes the making of a Jove story combined with the thrilling incidents of the European War, he realises that he is up against a hard proposition. Such pictures do not lack interest, hut they strain every faculty of the director's mind in order that the numerous details maylbe mastered above criticism. The famous director, Albert Capellani. left nothing for the imagination in the production of "The Dark Silence" lest it he the ending of the story. The suspense is tremendous and those who first see the picture await the .final scene with a fast /beating pulse only to find themselves agreeably surprised. This is a. powerful love drama in which Clara Kimball Young excells any of her previous successes. Many of the scenes were taken behind the firing lines of the igreat (European armies. "The picture" has been showing at Everybody's Saturday and the management report business exceeding all expectations.
