Received July 8, 5.5 p.m. London, July 6. No lives were lost on the Mongolia. All were landed at Messina, and are proceeding to England. LOSS OF AUSTRALIAN MAIL. An Admiralty mine-sweeper in the Mediterranean has been mined and sunk. Ten men arc missing. FRENCH SUBMARINE TORPEDOED. Received July 8, 5J5 p.m. London, July 7. A French official report states that • French submarine was torpedoed and •unk by an enemy submarine in the Mediterranean. Several of the officers and crew were lost, only nine being saved. A DESTROYER SUNK. Received July 8, 10.50 p.m. London, July 8. The Admiralty reports that a British destroyer, on July 6, was torpedoed and sunk in the North Sea, An officer and seven men were killed.
