OPERATIONS DESCRIBED. London, July 3. Mr. Masrey, writing from the Gaza fteadouarterc, states that General Allenby, in assuming command, finds the operations in Palestine similar to those in France. The forces are deeply entrenched. We are securely dug in on a long line and give the Turks n? re*t. Their positions are frequently heavily boiribarded and the guns are daily touching the enemy artillery ammunition damps. They have done much good wotV by preventing the enemy harvesting barley behind the lines. Over l«l* a ton of bombs ha* been Iroppod on the aerodrome at Hamleh, Ota? Jerusalem. Another squadron attacked and severely damaged an important depot at Tuikeran, north-east of 7affa. A squadron attached the headtnarten of the 4th Turkish Army, witha a mile of .the trails of Jerusalem, and trapped fifty bombs on the headquarters nikiiofs.
