STORAGE FOR CHEESE.
A WELLINGTON PROPOSAL. Telegraph.— 'Press Association. . Wellington, June 27. The Harbor Board at a meeting tonight considered a report from its engineer regarding the building of extra cool storage for cheese. The engineer estimated a temporary sitore could be erectedi for £6500 and the building of a partially permanent nature for £13,000. The chairman moved that with regard to the Agricultural Department's suggestion that the Board should immediately construct a temporary additional cool store for the storage of cheese unable to .be shipped owing to the abnormal shortage of vessels the Board, whilst recognising with the Department that the project is to a large extent speculative, is yet prepared to proceed at Once with the "work on condition that the Board receives a cash subsidy equal to one half the estimated cost, £GSCiO, of say £3250; further that the chairman and engineer of the Board be empowered to confer ■With the Agricultural Department on the above lines after discussion as to whether the store would pay. The Kaotion was carried.
