, r , Wellington, Julie ST. Mr. Maßsey and Sir Joseph Ward were entertained at a civic luncheon by the Mayor. They both referred further to their visit- to .Britain and matters connected with the war. Mr. Massey urged that the people of New Zealand should Set their faces ngain&t a premature peace. The war should be continued until final victory was .achieved and the sacrifices necessary to that end should be made without grumbling. He mentioned that before leaving London he was informed oonfldentially that the New Zealander; fee going to take Messines. The Dominion troops were counted ilpon confidentially when grit and courage Wire required.
