THE CADET COMPETITION. The cadet competition was continued yesterday, when Technical College defeated .High School A by 9 points to 5. and New Plymouth Rovers defeated Bigli School B by & points to nil. Mr. P. Page refereed in -both matches with genoral satisfaction. TECHNICAL COLLEGE v. HIGH •SCHOOL A. Tlie.se teams met at the racecourse, and a fast and interesting game ensued. High School scored first, C. i&tes getting across «s the outcome of a great passing rush in which six or seven handled the ball. McKay converted. Later Oliver took a hall, which one of the High School backs had weakly attempted to line, and, beating two of the opposition, scored. The kick was not converted. There was no alteration in the scores until near the end of the second spell, when Oliver kioked two goals, one 'from a mark and the other from a penalty kick, College thus winning 'by 9 points to 5. Oliver was in great form with his kicking, narrowly failing to goal on other occasions. McKay for School also had h \rd luck, the ball striking the post. ROVERS v. HIGH SCHOOL B. This match, played at the Recreation Grounds, also provel very interesting. There was no scoring in the first spell, but in the second Bridger, Singh, and S'harroek scored tries for Rovers, neither being converted.
