I regret to report the following casualties: Captain Smith went (lown with his ship. Chief steiwftrd Willis was drowned. Kilneil and Martin (apprentices), Kewston (seaman), and A. H. Little (third engineer) were killed. Glitz (trimmer) had a leg amputated. Jackson (seaman), Payne (apprentice), Lancaster, Randall, and Groves (firemen) were wounded, but not seriously, and several others were slightly wounded. Al' hands lost every stitch they had, except what they stoou wp in. Please excuse postcard, as it is all I am allowed to write." THE MONGOLIA SUNK. Melbourne, June 27. News has liecn received that' the P. and 0. boat Mongolia, has been sunk in the Indian Ocean on the way to Australia. The passengers hate been landed at Bombay. It is announced that the Mongolia strutk a mine and sank off Bombay at noon on June 23. Her mails were lost. [The Mongolia was a vessel of tons, built in 1903, and had a speed of 18i knots.]
