Mr. T. Sheeliy, oy-the New Plynv office of the Lapils ana Survey Depart* ment, has been appointed Crown Land* Hanger for the North Taranaki district' in succession to Mr. Tolme, resigned. A Dimedin telegram announces the death of Mr. Robert Gleudining, of tbf firm of Hose and Aged 7# years. Among other benefactions he gave the Winter Gardens to the city some years ago.
Word has been received that Private Cyril Ward, of New Plymouth, well known in Hawera, where he was on the staff of Moiu's Burgesk, Fmcr and Co., who left wfth the 18th Keinforcementl, has been wounded in the wrist.
