The accountants and land apenta, who were responsible for The Mart on 10th inst., being unable owing to-inclement weather to sell Master Sylvia, Mr. Nop* donated his opening Wd of £2 10s, and the horse will be' seld when opportunity offers. A watch donated by Mr. J. Burgess (Warea), fetched 12s. These amounts have been handed over to the treasurer, swelling the total to £l2B 13s Bd. 1 ' „ „ . The weather for "Lawyer's Day at the Mart on Saturday was not propitious, but despite the rain the ladies to whom the operations were entrusted worked with gTeat energy and cheerfully, their labors resulting in the sum of £64 9s being realised. This amount will be increased when a numiw* 1 of articles which were left over, including a calf, are disposed of. The Indies arc to be congratulated on the very ralisfactory outcome of their effort', considering the adverse climatic conditions
